Vibrant orange is a perfect colour for a young professional kitchen.

Orange is also known to encourage oxygen intake to the brain. It is “associated with healthy food and stimulates appetite.”

Concept

Final result

With hand coloured white flower motifs the look of the wall was changed in seconds and created a cheery, relaxed and funky look.
This color will surely encourage lively, spicy conversations!

Midnight blue bedroom

The deep blue walls really add drama to this bedroom, when contrasted with white accessories from Ikea.

The overall look is sophisticated and the contrast of colours works well. It’s finished off with striped rugs and a dark wood floor.

Concept

Some simple white see-through curtains diffuse light from the window and there are some well-placed pictures to maximise the light. Choosing bed linen that echoes the room’s main colour helps bridge the gap between the dark walls and pale furnishings.

Colour defines this living room, from its deep red wall to the curtains and accessories.
Rich mahogany floor, red wall and natural materials like a sisal carpet give this room real vibrance.

Red is known to be an exciting color and effects us by increasing enthusiasm, encouraging action and self-assurance.

Concept

Final result

A sharp orange is used to accent the colour on the curtains and on the wall in the open plan kitchen. Bold tones of red create a cosy look and transform a bland space into a welcoming room.

Decorating with red needn’t be overpowering. I decided to paint one feature wall in red and keep the others neutral to balance out the intensity of the colour. The room’s atmosphere is softened with paper lamps.
